Meet Kristin Conlon, PsyD
Hi, there! I’m Dr. Conlon, founder of Base Camp Psychological Services out of Chicago, IL.
If you’re here, you’re probably carrying more than you let on. Maybe you’ve been feeling overwhelmed, stretched thin, or stuck in patterns you can’t quite name. Maybe you’re someone who usually holds everything together, but recently it’s felt harder to do that on your own. You might be sorting through old experiences that still shape you, or noticing that the same challenges keep showing up in your relationships, work, or inner world.
If any of that feels familiar, you’re in the right place.

I earned my doctorate in clinical psychology 2012 and am currently licensed as a psychologist in Illinois and Pennsylvania.
My work is primarily rooted in psychodynamic theory, helping clients uncover and understand the deeper roots of long-standing patterns in thinking and behavior. When those patterns become clearer, it can create more room for freedom, better decisions, and a more balanced way of moving through the world.
When it’s helpful, I also integrate cognitive behavioral therapy, drawing on training from the Aaron T. Beck Psychopathology Research Center in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. -
My approach is grounded, collaborative, and active. I ask thoughtful questions, reflect what I hear, and gently challenge unhelpful patterns when it supports your growth. I focus on creating a steady, purposeful process that helps you gain clarity and insight.

Therapy with me is a space where you can slow down, listen to yourself more deeply, and explore the patterns that show up in your life. Together, we’ll work through stress, anxiety, or emotional overwhelm, make choices that feel aligned with your values, and cultivate a steadier, more grounded way of being. Clients often describe sessions as thoughtful, clarifying, and collaborative — a space where they feel seen and able to make sense of what’s happening in their lives.
